When she was very little Luxcia's dad played piano for Sunday morning services. Some evenings he would take her with him to practice at church. These are her earliest memories of music. In middle school she found his collection of Beatles CDs. This is where her taste in music really started to form. She specifically remembers being transfixed by the hauntingly melancholic "Eleanor Rigby."
Luxcia is part of a large family from whom she has learned much. She says she loves the end result of learning--that is, knowing things--but is growing to enjoy and appreciate the hard work that learning itself requires and is hopeful that will stick with her for a long time.
Spiegel's song “Rainbow” caught her ear back in October 2020. "It’s clever and compassionate lyric paired with the catchy tune immediately piqued my interest. The rest of Spiegel’s songs have a similarly arresting effect on the listener."
"Spiegel’s pieces are worthy of thoughtful attention as each delivers insightful wisdom regarding human nature and hope for the future. Working with him has been an eye opening opportunity that has challenged me both as a developing artist and as a vocalist. We share the conviction that the singer should serve the song. This has made working with Spiegel on this album a privilege and has me looking forward to future projects."
