Benjamin 's roots are in the Midwest state of Indiana, though he presently resides in the greater Atlanta, GA area and had a seven-year stint in Maryland right out of college.
Like most, Benjamin has lived in various places, been employed in sundry industries, and experienced life's ups and downs. Through it all, there have remained constants to which he has found solace and joy: His Savior, Jesus Christ; his wife and family; his real friends; Creation; and his inseparable passion for music (and food, we all need food...and water too).
"My walk with Jesus and alongside great friends who also follow Him has taught me me much—how to be a better husband, father, friend—and though those lessons play out in real time they all seem most impactful and accessible when heard, and felt, in music. I hear and feel that in what Jaijinx is doing with their albums and work. I'm humbled and deeply grateful to be a small part of it."
Throughout his life, Benjamin's style and ear for music has been influenced by bands including Paper Route, Future of Forestry, Anberlin, David Ramirez, and U2.
Welcome to Hookville
Benjamin sings a handful of songs on the debut Hookville album. His vocal range reaches from the low ends of "Mr. Government Man" to the high-flying spirit of "Silver Mullet."
